KUA’s Scott Grieves Earns KPPAE Designation

Kissimmee Utility Authority’s commercial account manager Scott Grieves has earned national certification from the American Public Power Association.

Grieves successfully completed the association’s national Key Accounts Certificate Program to earn his Key Public Power Account Executive or KPPAE designation.

The program required the successful completion of five in-depth courses, passing of an online exam and submission of a customer action plan for his or her utility.

APPA established the certificate program in 2002 as part of its education program to recognize key professionals within the public power industry who have advanced skills and training in their field.

Key accounts professionals cultivate mutually beneficial relationships between the utility and its large commercial and industrial customers. They also identify and market appropriate products and services in order to address customer energy needs.

Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility powering 74,000 customers in Osceola County, Fla.
