KISSIMMEE, Fla., August 19, 9:00 am – Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) crews continue to restore power to customers across Osceola County. The utility has restored electric service to 44,700 customers, or 77 percent of those who lost power after Hurricane Charley. At 9:00 a.m. Thursday, 13,300 KUA customers remain without power.

Small or isolated outages are possible throughout the areas that have already been restored.

Customers should call 407-933-7777 to report an outage. Customers may want to consider moving themselves and their families — especially those with special needs — to an alternate location during these extended outages.

Founded in 1901, KUA (www.kua.com) is Florida’s sixth largest community-owned utility providing electric service to 58,000 customers in Osceola County.
